There’s a surefire way to delight prospective customers with video: Answer a common question that they might be too shy to ask. Sticker Mule, a custom sticker business, knew that the topic of raster vs. vector images confused its website visitors again and again. So Jeremy Wick, Sticker Mule’s Head of Video, produced this 90-second tutorial to explain the difference between the two file types.
In their own words:
“There are a few things that make this topic tricky. We don’t want to scare any potential customers away if they don’t have access to vector graphics, but at the same time, we want to make it clear that vector graphics are preferred. Even still, we want to point out that sometimes using raster graphics will be your only option (i.e. if you want to print a photograph). There are plenty of posts elsewhere on the web that cover this topic, but most of them are too long and too confusing. To explain this topic as clearly and concisely as possible, video was the obvious choice. With an 89% engagement, we believe we accomplished the goal of explaining the topic clearly, without losing too many people along the way. As for search, our post has made it to the first page of Google for the term raster vs. vector. Double win!”Jeremy Wick
