We’re super excited to announce that Wistia’s first-ever original series, One, Ten, One Hundred has been nominated for a Webby Award! As a small B2B tech company, we’re going up against some pretty big players like Google, The LEGO Group, Lenovo, and Uber, in the coveted “Branded Entertainment Series” category.
So, what’s a Webby, you ask? Well, it’s the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet in 7 major media types: Websites, Video, Advertising, Media & PR, Social, Apps, Mobile, & Voice, Games, and Podcasts. The New York Times calls it “The Internet’s highest honor.” So, you can only imagine how excited the whole team was when we heard the news–even Lenny was licking his chops!
That’s why we’re calling on you, our beloved community of business-video fans, to help us take home The Webby People’s Voice Award for Branded Entertainment Series in the Video category. All you have to do to support us is click this link, sign in with your Facebook or Twitter account (or make a new account through the Webby’s site), and cast your vote for our original series, One, Ten, One Hundred.
With One, Ten, One Hundred, we really wanted to test our creative limits and inspire other small businesses (just like ours) to tell their stories with video, regardless of budget. After months of hard work, endless hours spent holed up in an editing room, and a significant amount of blood (only a little), sweat, and tears, we ended up with a final product we’re all super proud of. This Webby nomination only goes to show that you don’t have to be a huge brand in order to do great things with video. The creativity of a small in-house team can compete with projects from globally-renowned creative agencies on behalf of the world’s biggest companies.
Need a refresher on what went down in this 100-minute series? In case you missed it, we challenged Sandwich Video to make three videos at three very different price points — one for $1,000, one for $10,000, and one for $100,000. In this four-part series, we cover exactly what went into the production of all three ads.
From budgeting and planning to building sets and shooting footage, One, Ten, One Hundred, proves that great creative marketing is possible for businesses of all sizes, regardless of your budget size. If you haven’t seen it yet, head over to Amazon Prime to watch and review it!
One more time for good measure! Please cast your vote before April 18th — it would genuinely mean the world to us. We appreciate all of your support and are incredibly honored to be nominated either way!
